If you have the connector for the Chevy the wire the yellow and red on the left mirror to the yellow from the ford. then light blue to the red and the light green to the dark blue. then on right yellows to yellow ...There is NO NEED to loose the wing window with the Dodge mirrors. They function as they normally do. i guess if you consider blocking off the air supply for them when opened (front of hinges like shown in the pics of red truck) then yea, guess youre right. they might open, but they dont function as they normally do.
