My Security 9 has had four FTEs across approximately 310 rounds since new. The first two were classic stovepipes and easily cleared. The last two were very odd in that the spent casing stayed in the barrel’s chamber requiring me to use a small wooden dowel to pry the casing out; not good for a home defense/carry gun!I ended up getting a Ruger Security-9 to go with my PC Carbine. Took it out yesterday and after 2 mags I starting having problems! 1. Last round hold back would not work on 1 of the mags, not that big of a deal. 2. I got 3 FTE's in the first 200 rounds and chalked it up to break-in. (Although I have only had an issue with break-in one other time and it was not Ruger).

The manuals for each pistol explain the proper engagement of the safety. Reading the manual carefully is always advised when first owning ANY gun.
