Well, the gents over at SuperSetCA took on that exact question with the 2021 Staccato P DPO 2011 duty pistol. With the price tag over $2K, many people may really wonder if the juice is worth the squeeze. While you may not be super familiar with the Staccato name, you may be more familiar with their former name — STI Firearms.But the real point is that's the price point of any solid 1911 or 2011. We've gotten used to glocks, sigs, S&W, etc and they're all typically $700 or less. But if you want a halfway decent 1911 you're spending 1500 at minimum. When you think about it that way the staccato non-comp line is really fairly priced imo.Staccato is making big waves in the single action, double stack market, and their new Staccato CS is more a smaller, easier to carry model. Think of it as an Officer's Model of their larger 9mm ...That's what I gather too. My 3 options from what I've been able to find... 1. Leave as-is and just shoot the sht out of my pistol and new EPS. 2. C&H plate and they offer a 0.230 front sight for my C2. 3. New Dawson Precision Plate for the EPS which will allow the EPS to mount w/out the extra RMR plate.

Is it $1500 better, prolly not but it is better. Staccato is like entry level if you really look at high end 2011. 2. Recently picked up a Staccato P Duo locally. Worth it because STI controls the price so it's the same no matter where you go. Comes with two extendo twenties and a flush fit seventeen round mag. IT ALSO INCLUDES ALL THE MOUNTING PLATES FOR EVERY SIGHT COMPATIBLE WITH THE DUO SYSTEM.

Clean and lube it prior to shooting, Give it 250 rds of break in, clean and lube again, and you'll be good to go! I did the same regimen with my Staccatos that I do with all my pistols. Lube before each session and clean at 1000 rounds, although I'm now doing 5000 rounds on my Glocks.

The Staccato P is absolutely worth every penny. Picked up my Staccato P DPO with aluminum frame and threaded stainless steel barrel. The first magazine through it at 10 yards made one large ragged hole. It is hands down the best shooting pistol I own. Even better with an optic.
