They said that these ejector rods were a major problem on the 51's and that they stopped making them because of this and that shops stopped buying back used ones because of the problem. I pattern tested my Ithaca 51 12ga tonight. I shot a reload of 7/8 ounce of #6 at 1200 fps. The 26" IC barrel put 134 of 218 pellets (hand counted) in a 30 inch circle at 40 yards for 61%.
